Events

We have some fairly regular events each year within the village; residents and visitors always welcome.

Our regular events plus forthcoming village events in the calendar.

Annual Events

Little Dunning Market

Little Dunning is our annual village market, and is held each year on the first Saturday in June, in the Rollo Park, Dunning.

Scrufts

Scrufts is PADS' (Perthshire Abandoned Dog Society) annual dog show. As well as being attended by local dog owners, adopters and their dogs come from far and wide, to catch-up with the wonderful folks at PADS, and show-off their healthy, happy hounds. Scrufts is held in Rollo Park each August.

The Duck Race

The Duck Race is a community fund-raising social and barbecue, where we gather by the Dunning burn to watch rubber ducks race. Held annually in August, it's a fun evening for the whole family.

Dunning Flower and Vegetable Show

Dunning Flower and Veg Show is an exhibition of home grown fruit, vegetables, baking, handicrafts, and floral art. It also has a children's section. It is held on the same day as the Duck Race each year.

Coffee Mornings

Different local groups and organisations hold fund-raising coffee mornings throughout the year. The Dunning Historical Society holds theirs every November in the village hall.

Artisan Craft Fair

We are surrounded by talented artists, and look forward each year to the annual Dunning Artisan Craft Fair (last Sunday in November, held in the village hall) when we can buy their beautiful wares!

Over 80s Christmas Lunch

At the over-80s Christmas Lunch, almost 90 of Dunning's over-80s are treated to a delicious 4 course meal and music, organised by the Dunning Community Council with the support of a number of local businesses and a whole squad of community volunteers. It is held in the village hall, each year just before Christmas.

Hogmanay (New Year) Celebrations

Dunning people welcome-in the New Year with an impromptu gathering in the village square. Sometimes we even get snow!
